HONEYDROP RENEWS OU KOSHER CERTIFICATION PROUD TO BEAR THE WORLD’S MOST TRUSTED KOSHER TRADEMARK

Honeydrop Beverages, leading producer of teas and juices made with a tablespoon of pure honey (never any refined sugar), is proud to renew its certification from the Orthodox Union, the world’s most recognized kosher certification agency. With six delicious flavors — Blood Orange, Green Tea, Lemon Tea, Lemon Ginger Tea, Chamomile Tea and Blueberry — each of Honeydrop’s fresh-brewed teas and natural juices with only 90 or less calories per bottle are stamped with the OU seal of approval.

“It was really important for Honeydrop to be certified kosher from when we first launched,” says CEO David Luks. “The OU was absolutely our first choice — it is known for having the highest standards and it’s my belief that consumers automatically perceive any product with OU symbol to be a premium, quality product.”

Honeydrop was founded in 2009 after a cancer diagnosis led Luks to learn to lead a natural lifestyle and about the extraordinary health benefits of honey. Built on the simple idea of offering consumers a flavorful and healthful drink that is derived from the land, not the lab, Honeydrop’s teas and juices offer consumers a healthy, low-calorie alternative to the many sugary sodas, teas and juice drinks available in stores.

In 2011, Honeydrop launched its Buy a Bottle – Save a Bee initiative, through which one percent of proceeds from all Honeydrop sales are donated to local beekeepers who are active in their communities. The funds are used to build and maintain responsible beehives and community programs that actively fight against CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder). Honeydrop also allows consumers to donate directly to the prestigious U.C. Davis Harry H. Laidlaw Jr. Honey Bee Research Facility on its website, www.honeydrop.com/savethebees.

Honeydrop is available at leading natural and gourmet grocers, restaurants, wineries, hotels and yoga studios nationwide such as Whole Foods, Dean & Deluca, Eli’s and Bikram Park Slope for an MSRP of $1.99.
