A FIRST FOR OU KOSHER: CHASIDISHE CHEDER, THE MOSHOLU CHEDER OF BORO PARK, VISITS THE OU FOR LESSONS ON FISH AND BEDIKAS TOLAIM

For the first time a Chasidishe cheder, the Mosholu Cheder of Boro Park (formerly of Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx), visited the Orthodox Union for a program on kashrus. The visit was part of the Harry H. Beren ASK OU–Visit OU program.

Rabbi Dovid Goldstein from Pos’tiv Produce and the boys discover a leaf minor, a worm that crawls through a tunnel. The tunnel can be seen on the vegetable.

From left, among the delighted students: Rabbi Chaim Goldberg, OU fish expert who made a presentation on his favorite species, complete with tilapia; class rebbe Rabbi Chaim Teitelbaum, grandson of the Satmar Rav of Monroe; Rabbi Menachem Genack, CEO of OU Kosher; Rabbi David Goldstein, Pos’tiv Produce bedikas tolaim presenter; and Rabbi Yosef Grossman, OU Director of Kashrus Education.
