Yachad High School Needs a Home

May 16, 2007

Yachad/NJCD special needs high school is looking for a new home.

The IVDU School for students with special needs (a division of the OU's Yachad/National Jewish Council for Disabilities) offers a high school pre-vocational training program for young adults ages 15 to 21 in Brooklyn, NY. This exciting program prepares young people with disabilities to transition into adult life by maximizing their strengths and preparing them for the world of work. More information.

The minimum requirements needed for a new facility are: 3-4 rooms for classes, one office, and bathroom facilities [anything extra would be a bonus]. Location must be wheelchair accessible. Please call: Eta Levenson 212-613-8235 or email levenson@ou.org if your shul, or any local facility you are aware of might be available.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
