June 19, 2008

Michael Rosner, Director of the OU Job Board, declared, “This is a career workshop for job seekers who are interested in learning about the major economic trends that affect our lives. The seminar will identify job sectors that are growing in the greater New York Metropolitan area, as well as a discussion of those industries that are very competitive for job seekers to break into.”

The workshop will be presented by Louise Klaber, Senior Career Counselor, F.E.G.S. Health and Human Services System. Ms. Klaber will provide tips and suggestions on how to play an active and assertive role in managing one’s career. She will also address the following issues:
• What fields are hot;
• Which careers NOT to go into;
• Growth industries: What is on the horizon; and
• How to adjust your career and get on top of the curve.

A Q&A session and interactive participation will follow the workshop.
