OU JOB BOARD TO OFFER PROFESSIONAL RESUME UPDATING SERVICE ONLINE

OU JOB BOARD TO OFFER PROFESSIONAL RESUME UPDATING SERVICE ONLINE

The OU Job Board will be offering year-round assistance in resumé updating online, beginning July 25. Forty professionals of various fields will be volunteering their services.

Michael Rosner, Director of the OU Job Board, declared, “Whether you are employed these days or not, it’s always a good idea and prudent decision to have your resumé checked out by a professional, who can evaluate its strengths and weaknesses and advise the best ways to present yourself and your qualifications in the best possible light.”

Interested applicants should submit an already existing clearly-written resumé to the OU Job Board at jobs@ou.org. The resumé will then be forwarded to a résumé editor in their appropriate field. The resumé editor may contact the applicant to best clarify his/her qualifications. Updated resumés can be uploaded onto the OU Job Board to be viewed by potential employers as the applicant searches the growing database of available positions.

“The professional level of the resumé writers is quite varied in order to connect the right resumé with the right professional in a field they know best,” declared Mr. Rosner. “A good resumé should be kept ready at all times.”

This service will be available in addition to the OU Job Board’s “Resumé Checkup Day,” in which the resumé editors visit communities to meet in person with applicants.

The OU Job Board is looking to build the number of field professionals available to volunteer their time to help review resumés. For more information, contact jobs@ou.org or 212-613-8391.
