200 ATTEND AS NEW YORK NCSY HOSTS SUKKOT CONCERT

The Queens-based New York Region of the National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY) hosted the popular Jewish music band Omek Hadavar in a Special Sukkot concert event that was open to the entire community at the Utopia Jewish Center in Fresh Meadows, Queens. A crowd of close to 200 people attended the event, continuing the success New York NCSY has achieved in branching out into community events.

The concert was coordinated by New York NCSY’s Director of Public Relations, Atara Fuchs. When asked what her next big project for the Region would be, she responded, “We’re busy with the Kickoff Shabbaton and Chinese Auction for now, but let’s just say that Chanuka looks like it’s going to be a very exciting time for us.”

New York NCSY will be hosting its Fifteenth Annual Chinese Auction Saturday Night, November 4th at The Kingsway, in Brooklyn, NY.

NCSY, a program of the Orthodox Union, is a multi-faceted Jewish youth group. Offering social and educational programming in hundreds of communities across the U.S. and Canada, NCSY is a leader in bringing unaffiliated youth an awareness of what Judaism is all about. For Jewish teenagers, NCSY is a relaxed, fun environment to learn about their own heritage.
