Beth Israel is an Orthodox Synagogue affilited with the Union Of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. We are housed in an ultra-modern building, built by architect Percival Goodman in a residential section located at 40 King Street on the Norwalk/Westport border.

SERVICES & MINYONIM

Beth Israel serves the communities of Norwalk, Westport, Weston & Wilton. We are a full service synagogue with daily minyan at 7 a.m. & 8 a.m. on legal holidays. Shabbos at 9:15 a.m. and Friday night at 7 p.m. Evening
yahrtzeit minyonim are arranged.Beginner services are also offered.

HEBREW SCHOOL

Our Hebrew School uses the most progressive teaching menthods and includes the most successful Jewish Computer Kids program.Bar and Bat mitzvah tutorials in our "Step Up" program are given.

YOUTH

Besides our weekly junior congregation which meets Shabbos at 10:15 a.m. Beth Israel has NCSY youth groups and a shomer shabbos baseball league.

ADULT EDUCATION

Our adult education has a variety of courses including a woman's Torah study group each Tuesday morning from 10 a.m.-11:15. The most well attended crash course in learning to read Hebrew will begin once again on August 20th at 8 p.m. Please watch our listing for constant updates for our varied courses given.

BIS SINGLES

Jewish singles from all of Fairfield County and surrounding areas have joined for socials at Beth Israel. Our next event is a "Summer Soiree" Sunday, July 28th at 5:30 p.m. Barbecue & Jazz is on the menu, all for $15 admission. For reservations & Info. please call Adena Davis at 203-866-0534.

CHAPLAINCY

Rabbi Yehoshua S. Hecht is the chaplain of the police dept. and runs the Jewish chaplaincy program at Norwalk Hospital and area senior centers and local hospice.

YOM TOV & HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

Each & every holiday is celebrated in a most unusually freilach & joyous atmoshpere, from "DINNER UNDER THE STARS", in our giant succah, or "SIMCHAS TORAH NIGHT LIVE", or our giant "Menorah Lighting" we have a
program for you!
