Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha (TICK), under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Aaron Winter, prides itself in its role in West County as a vibrant center for spiritual growth in Torah Judaism. With its growing membership, TICK’s emphasis is on Jewish tradition and education in a warm environment. TICK’s Rabbinical staff now includes two talmudic scholars who are members of the St. Louis Kollel, which enhances the availability of learning opportunities, from group style classes to one-on-one chavrusa style learning, which are available to all.

TICK offers a variety of inspirational and educational programs that are designed to meet the needs of every community member. The educational program includes a wide range of Torah classes for men, women and children throughout the week, including Shabbos, with classes in Chumash, Mishnah, Talmud, Jewish law, Jewish philosophy and ethics. In addition to daily classes, the synagogue provides morning and evening minyan services which are conducted daily throughout the year, dynamic lectures, theme dinners, Shabbos dinners, annual festival parties, family programming, active women’s group, Chesed committee, weekly Kiddushes, and an active Shabbos children’s program.

Our facility, located by the picturesque Greentrails Lake, comprises of a spacious sanctuary where Shabbos and Festival services are held, a Bais Midrash sanctuary where weekday services and Torah classes are conducted, two kosher kitchens capable of catering to all congregational needs, a social hall, and a library. In addition, our four classrooms accommodate TICK’s youth programs and activities. There is a Shabbos eruv in Chesterfield, which enhances the beauty of the Shabbos atmosphere.  President is Scott Andrew.
