Why Should My Congregation Be An OU Member?

As a member of the Orthodox Union your synagogue will be part of a vibrant, effective Torah movement impacting the Jewish Community through multifaceted programs and synagogue services such as Kashruth, NCSY (the National Conference of Synagogue Youth), Yachad (The National Jewish Council for the Disabled), the IPA (Institute for Public Affairs), the Pardes Project and the highly acclaimed OU internet program - ou.org - (http//www.ou.org).

Your membership will provide your synagogue with weekly divrei Torah, kashruth updates, political action alerts, and access to the OU Synagogue Services Department which is dedicated to making our synagogues as successful as they can be.

Every member synagogue plays an integral part in giving voice and credence to the unyielding role of Orthodoxy within an ever changing society, every individual member makes that voice that much more powerful.

Basic internet listings for all orthodox congregations worldwide are being provided as a free community service of the Orthodox Union and its member congregations.

Basic websites for OU member congregations are now a part of membership privileges. Group rate hosting, design options, e-mail and chat are also available to member shuls.
