be addressed by Rav Lau, Rav Levy and Mayor Olmert. The
Conference of +/- 100 students will include students from the
US, Canada, England, Europe, Russia, Australia and South Africa.
I URGE ALL STUDENTS OUT THERE TO WRITE LETTERS OF SOLIDARITY TO
YOUR PEERS AT THE CONFERENCE. Post them on this Board and I will
ensure that they are printed and publicized at the Conference.

Another year passes and the Beis Hamikdash is still in ruins,
but this year the Chilul Hashem of stones being thrown from Har
Habayit at Jews praying. Perhaps if there would have been
another 100,000 Jews at the Kotel then 2000 Arabs would have
been petrified to even sneeze and the Jews would not have seemed
as cowards on our television screens. JEWS OF THE WORLD, HASHEM
IS SENDING US AND YOU A MESSAGE, LISTEN AND ACT.
South Africa
Good Day to all G-d bless the Israelis
You have a great country
TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE one IN
ISRAEL July 30, 2001
We are all well here and not in any real danger. This in spite
of the fact that every day there are varied incidents: suicide
bombing, car bombings, watermelon bombs, drive-by shootings,
live fire from the arab sectors on israeli soldiers, mortar
shelling of Jewish Settlements in the West Bank and Gaza. And
incidents like the riot yesterday on the Temple Mount, with
stoning of the Jews praying at the Wall.
Then every once in a while the
war comes closer to home: Our daughter is a major in the Israeli
police in Jerusalem (20 years married to a sabra of Iraqi
descent;) one son is a major in the regular army intelligence
service in and married to a sabra of Polish/Egyptian heritage
our second son is married to a Yemenite Sabra and does his 35
days/year active service in the army. We have a grand-daughter
in the woman's army for over a year now, she’s nineteen, and
her younger brother (a senior in High School) will be inducted
in the armed forces in less than a year.
Do my wife Riva and I worry? Yes
and no but it is something you learn to live with as we learned
to live with it in WWII, where I was a soldier for 3 years; or
with a Harlem/Watts riot in the U.S.A. It is a stress you learn
to live with and hope that it will not turn into distress.
As a Jew, I love living in
Israel, in and among Jews (that’s we immigrated here in 1966,
my wife was a returning sabra,) I am at home and I will succeed
or fail as a person, and not as a Jew. I love going every day to
the local cafe for coffee with fellow pensioners 2 of who were
in concentration camps in Germany, two struggled through the
holocaust in Rumania in Work Camps, and an Italian who barely
survived Auschwitz.
I love going for a shave every
week to Armand, (from Morocco,) my Jewish barber, (and it on
only cost $7.50 with no tip.) I love going to the movies every
week to ten days in the Mall, only 5 minutes from my house. I
appreciate that going into the Mall garage, every car trunk,
(including ours) has to open for inspection by young Russian
immigrants working for a security company. I love the throngs of
people, the hustle and bustle and the Yiddishkeit and
SephardicKeit of the Mall: everything is Jewish. I love going to
a weight loss group at the Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, on the
west bank border, where the group is run by a Sabra Dietician
Man, and his Partner, and an Immigrant from France.
In essence, what do I love about
all this? I'm home; no more Wandering in the Desert, just an
occasional visit to Rome, or London, or the USA. I am in love
with love and it keeps getting better.
From: The optimist/pessimist, The
BIGEYE, the I in M(i)e, Irving Bronsky
P.S. I think my choice to
immigrate to Israel was highly influenced by being one of the
Chosen people by G-d.

Mishpochah, I am praying that G-d will bring the Shalom He
destined for you all to come soon. My heart goes out to you, in
the midst of all this. I also pray that I will be able to come
in October to see the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Stand tall and be blessed, Shalom.

On Tisha Ba'av I watched an international shiur given in memory
of the victims of Arab terror. At the end of the shiur the
distinguished rabbi said, "What I suggest to help the
Yidden in Eretz Yisrael is that we all go home and...", at
this point I got very excited that an American rabbi was about
to make an historic break from the taboo...I was expecting the
ending to go something like this..."pack your bags and get
on the next El Al flight, no questions, this is what Hashsem
wants from us and in merit of this, we will finally bring the
Geula". Of course instead I heard something very different,
a nice suggestion, but nothing about Jews moving to their
homeland...so sad...I can only dream, what if.... maybe we would
be feasting instead of fasting!
Turkey
Selam dear Brothers and Sisters,
many muslims and other people with different religions are living together in peace and harmony in Turkey (middle east). The most important thing is to believe in each other, to share all blessing what our great creator gives us.
I'm praying for you and all humanity. We must see the facts why to be on earth, why to be a human, what are our obligations.
Let us protect the holly places on earth.
No fight, no tears anymore - let's love each other.
Thr great creator should be with you.

It is Tishah B'Av 5761(2001) and the fast is coming to a close.
I pray that G-d has accepted our prayers and will send Messiach
shortly. The OU put out a beautiful video on the need for
support in Israel and about their solidarity mission in August.
I wanted to write in case any one is reading to say that our
prayers are with you there in Israel and you will soon be seeing
more and more Americans coming to Israel to show our support. I
am planning my trip their after I get married in the
fall.....let us all continue our prayer, good deeds and charity
so to usher in the time of the Messiach

Many of us are aware that the Arabs, through Arafat, say one
thing to the press. the "peace negotiators", and the
outside world, and another thing altogether different, to each
other. Between themselves they swear allegiance to the lifelong
war against the existence of a Jewish State. To the negotiators,
of course, they're "trying to find a way to produce
peace." Let no one be deceived. But what shall Jews
worldwide do to let the rest of the world know the TRUTH of what
is happening? If WE don't do it, who will? Along with it being a
war of bombs and guns, it is also a war of words. Is it possible
that Jews should lose a war of WORDS???

Thank you U.S.A. for your support, it means a lot to us. Went to
the levoyah of the 17 year old boy who was shot just because he
is Jewish. Thousands of kids there. Kids who should not be going
to funerals. Am Yisroel stands together you are welcome to join
us. Fast well.

Although I am not Jewish, I and my wife fully support Israel and
all Jews there and worldwide. I have many friends in Israel and
visited there early last summer. Israel (the people) remains
God's chosen in my opinion and he will provide peace for all
Jews in his time. Our prayers are that his will shall be for
peace for all Israel soon. I encourage all Jews to remain in
Israel and pray morning noon and evening for God's tender
mercies and peace and protection.
God bless,
From an American Christian Friend of the land of Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob.

Though not Jewish, I watch for you and pray for you for G-ds
protection. (Who knows, perhaps I am a lost one from the
Diaspora.) I am learning Hebrew and torah and think of you
always. Stay strong. know you are loved.

Don't know if you heard the news. Kid of 17 was shot whilst
driving home to Givat Zeev last night. They also fired at kids
playing football in a playground nearby to us. I feel sick,
today we are busy getting food ready for the family and of
course going to the Levoyah. This is so distressing. Again what
do we say to our children that they cannot go out. Shall we all
don bullet proof vests and helmets every time we go to collect
our children from school. My 11 year old suggested today that we
go back to England.!!!!
No way we are here to stay.
Need words of chizuk.

Dear People of Israel, with everything going on, you might
wonder if the world outside of Israel cares. We do. It hurts to
see Israel beat up everyday, year-in, year-out. That's all I can
say in words right now.

Thank you for all the beautiful messages of love and support. It
makes a difference, especially to those of us whose families are
not supportive of us being here. Firstly In response to the
U.S.A. "oldest daughter who is coming for a year to Israel,
you are welcome to come and visit us. We live in Givat Zeev,
considered the territories. Come and see how safely and
beautifully we live.
Secondly A couple of months ago I wrote an article about
children in Israel and their feelings at this time. I got
thousands of replies from all over, USA Canada South Africa,
Australia. I'm trying to match up kids from Israel to reply.
Anyone interested?
One last word sure we are sometimes afraid, And I have been in a
bomb attack. But we know we are in the right place. Words of
support from all of you out there mean a lot to us !

For many of us who at this time are unable to go to Eretz
Yisroel, the physical distance from the land and our dear
brothers and sisters breeds an even greater longing to be there. We
continue to hope and pray that Hashem protect Klal Yisroel and
Eretz Yisroel during these excruciatingly difficult times, and
may we see the fulfillment of the prophecy we will read this
Sunday, that the day of Tisha B'av will ultimately become a
holiday for the Jewish people.

My youngest daughter is right now in Jerusalem for six weeks.
She is unafraid nor am I. I support Israel with all of my heart
and Jewish soul. Sadly, I am disabled and cannot travel there as
a sign of support but I am with you!

I think that this time all the Jews should go to Israel, even
for a week. that's what I'm going to do on the 2 August.

I just came back from my first ever trip to Israel. I went on
the Birthright Aish HaTorah Jerusalem Fellowship program. The
personal experience brought me home for the first time with a
feeling that will never be replace my longing to be back in
Israel. Soon my opportunity will come to go to Israel and not to
leave. Know that myself and many others always have you in our
hearts and thoughts.

HaShem is witness as prayers are lifted up in support of all
inhabitants of Eretz Yisrael. Though the nations look down on
you, you keep showing how great a value human life has, hoping
for the day when eternal peace will come. Be courageous mothers,
fathers, be strong sons and daughters of Yisarel. Shalom L'Chaim

This is not just a key time to visit Israel. This is the
perfect time to invest in Israel.
#1 It supports Israel tremendously
#2 It encourages others to support Israel at this critical time
#3 It's the only investment that Hashem watches over from the
beginning of the year till the end of the year.
Those who invest in Israel during it's difficult times now will
reap the profits in the future.
USA
Shalom and may Hashem bless you and keep you well and
safe.

I am planning please G-d my second visit this year in mid
August. It is more expensive and complex than I would like, but
I just have to go
USA
I am not Jewish but support the Nation of Israel, and will
continue to press my representatives in Washington, D.C. to
support Israel in foreign affairs.
I believe that it will be to the
U.S.'s detriment to lose the presence of the Jewish culture in
America. However, I pray Hashem will continue to bless Israel
with return of the Jewish people and build a great nation. May
G-D bless the People of Israel!

USA wrote-:"May G-D Please fight for us, no one else
will."
Like everything in life it is a combination of Hashem's Ratson
and the actions of Bnei Adam.
This is highly offensive to the 1000's of young brave soldiers
who guard our homes & borders, and fight for our survival.
What about the Kiddush Hashem of the 1000's of bochrei Hesder
that serve Hashem and their Nation and their Country, all of
which is indivisible.
When I do reserve duty in some very dangerous and uncomfortable
places I to also call on Hashem, but I realize that it is a
combined effort. I cannot fight the Enemies of Klal Yisrael from
my air conditioned office.
On your next visit please let me introduce you to these Hesder
boys, please let me take you on a visit of these yeshivot.

wish I could be there to help....... G-d bless you all

A special welcome and yasher koach to the 42 amazing college and

You pray for parnas and do something active about it.
You pray for kibbutz galiot and bonei yerushalayim - what are
you doing ?
Rally, pray, learn, visit, write to the media, speak to your
fellow American Jews and then come home.
Yerushalayim, Rachel and our Avot are waiting for you !

Shalom to Jews wherever you are. As the Director of the OU
Israel Center in Jerusalem, let me welcome you to Israel whether
you come with the OU solidarity groups or with your family. We
are here to welcome you and help you with your travel plans and
to show you something of what is happening behind the scenes.
This is the time to visit Israel and to show solidarity. Keep in
touch!

My family and I just returned from a two week vacation in
Israel. We didn't see any signs of the intifada, and felt just
as safe as we do in New York. If you can, please visit Israel
this summer. We got more chizuk than we gave.
USA
our hearts are with you...my wife is there now....we'll both go,
IY'H, for Sukkot.....Acheinu, kol yisroel.

We pray every day for peace and security in Israel. We
will never allow the propaganda and influence of Israel's
enemies to affect us, and we will fight relentlessly to secure
the homeland of the Jewish people forever and ever.
USA
We are all praying for you in the U.S.A. Nobody believes
the Anti-Semitic CNN. Or the New York Times. I know that some
Jew Are going to boycott the Times between Roshana and Yom
Kippur! Keep your chin-up!
USA
I hope in reading these messages you derive much chizuk. We all
pray for your wellbeing as it is our future that relies on the
vitality of the Jewish people. New York Senator Schumer is now
in Israel visiting families of the wounded and representing New
York. May his words encourage many others to come to Israel and
show support.
Israel
My fellow Jews Please come home, please think about making
Aliyah. It isn't dangerous here as they report on Anti-Semitic
CNN. I should know because I am not a brave person, so if I am
afraid of walking the Streets of New York City and I prefer thwe
streets of Ra'anana - you can be sure it is safer here. You
don't have to live in the "front", just come home. So
many other Jews are waiting for you, forget about the U.S. and
come home. We're all waiting...
USA
Brothers and sisters, Please
be strong we are with you in all of our thoughts and waking
hours.
Signed with love

USA
The people of Israel should know that we are with them totally.
We will never accept the idea that one or two Jews dying each
day is something we just have to tolerate. May Hakadosh Baruch
Hu grant our leaders the wisdom to find a way out of this
terrible situation.
USA
My oldest daughter will be joining you in Israel for a year of
studies, please G-D, in the Fall. There have been
relatives who have tried to deter us from sending her, but both
she and my wife and myself firmly believe that to not send her
would not only be depriving her of the best year of her life,
but would be giving a victory to our enemies.
USA
Our family prays for the safety and well being for all the people of Eretz Yisroel. May Hashem bless you and keep you safe.
