The 3rd unusual site of the day will be the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind, where dogs are highly trained in a very special manner to lead their blind owners. These seeing eye dogs enable their masters to travel all over and the mobility they gain is immeasurable

Did you ever wonder why a large part of central Israel is called Gush Dan? Did the tribe of Dan ever inhabit the area? And why is there a site called Tel Dan in the Hermon mountain region?
Join us for a day and explore the land of Dan and visit the border between Dan and the hostile P'lishtim. We will have a better understanding of what transpired between Shimshon and his enemies when we visit his home town of Tsora. We will also relive the exceptional victory of King David over Goliath at the battlefield site where the great event took place.
Among the places we shall be touring are: Neve Ilan Observation Point view the entire Shephela. We will discuss ancient travel routes and maps - throughout the generations; Kever Dan ben Yaakov we will examine the relevant sources concerning this site. If it is not Dan's Kever, whose is it?; Tel Tsora We shall read parts of the Tanach which deal with Shimshon. Is this really his kever?; Monis Winery a tour of the winery and the adjoining olive oil plant. As we view the beautiful vineyards below and Tel Batash (Biblical Timna) we shall read the verses concerning Shimshon and the vineyards on his way to Timna; Altar of Manoach Is this the place where the Angel instructed Shimshon's parents?; Tel Azeka from our vantage point high on the Tel, we shall understand how events unfolded leading to David's final victory; Bet Shemesh Biblical Sculpture Park we shall test your knowledge of the Tanach by guessing what each sculpture represents...and more...

Call Shulamit Neaman at 050-593-7932 on the day of a tiyul or the evening preceeding it. Also, if you are running late for a tiyul or for last minute cancelation.

CANCELLATION POLICIES: We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee in case of last-minute cancellations. Also... Price of tiyul is based on a minimum number of participants, meaning that we can cancel a tiyul with too low registration

BOOKED? When a tiyul is listed as BOOKED - you can call to be wait-listed; you will be called back if there is a cancellation, if we add a bus, or when we fix a new date for the tiyul.

STUDENTS FROM ABROAD: Parents visiting you this year? If so, speak to us! (560-9110) to check out our tiyulim or Shabbatonim (call Ita Rochel 560-9125) that might interest them.

KASHRUT POLICY: Food for Israel Center In-House programs is supervised by
u-Israel Mehadrin. Israel Center sponsored trips and programs are Mehadrin. Hotels, restaurants, and tiyulim advertised by outside parties are not necessarily Mehadrin and are not endorsed by the OU or the Israel Center.
