The YLC has begun the "Jewish Tuition Initiative" to explore, discuss and grapple with the issues facing Jewish education today. The articles appearing below have been gathered and presented to the YLC to help shed light on the many complex questions surrounding this issue.
The YLC would like to thank Mr. Moshe Bane for his presentation of these materials.

HELP ALLEVIATE
THE YESHIVA TUITION CRISIS!
Support new tax credit legislation.
Contact your local State Senators and Assembly members and support The New York State Educational Tax Incentives Act - S.3101-B/A.6145-B.
Under S.3101-B/A.6145-B, contributions up to $500 per individual and up to $35,000 from corporations made to approved scholarship funds will be eligible for a 50% tax credit.
Similar legislation has already been passed in Arizona, Florida and Pennsylvania. The passing of this bill can be a great early step in trying to alleviate the financial burden that Yeshiva tuitions place on Jewish families.
And supporting this legislation is just one of the many ways that The Institute for Public Affairs and Young Leadership Cabinet of the Orthodox Union are committed to working to solve the escalating Yeshiva tuition crisis.
