For seudah shlishit beginning at 8:00 p.m., the Chairman will return to Congregation Ahavat Yisrael to discuss “With a Bracha Like That, I'd Rather Pass.”
According to Rabbi Israel Lashak, Southwest NCSY Regional Director, “Mr. Savitsky is one of the most caring and passionate Jewish leaders today -- it is truly an honor to work with him.”
During his six-year OU presidency, New York-based Mr. Savitsky often visited Jewish communities large and small as part of a North American tour to bring the OU message far and wide, while at the same time receiving feedback from OU member congregations about their needs and how the OU could respond to them. He continues these visits as Chairman of the Board, his position since this past January.
David Garner, President of Congregation Ahavat Yisrael declared, "As a young and growing shul, we are looking forward to the visit of Mr. Stephen Savitsky as we work toward strengthening our ties to the OU by bringing its resources to our members."
