The last seven verses of this parsha list the descendants of Yishmael. Yishmael had 12 sons, who were the 12 princes of the Ishmaelite nations foretold in Genesis 17:20. Yishmael died at the age of 137; his descendants overran the territory from Egypt to Assyria, dominating the Middle East.
