Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb

Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb received Semicha from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary in 1998, and was a member of the distinguished Wexner Kollel Elyon from 1999 to 2003.
Before entering the semicha program, Rabbi Gottlieb studied philosophy at Yeshiva College as well as at Yeshiva University’s Bernard Revel Graduate School.
Rabbi Gottlieb previously served as Rabbinic Intern at New York’s Congregation Kehillath Jeshurun from 1996-1998 and served as Summer Rabbi at the Young Israel of Riverdale in 2002. He has also been a guest lecturer and Scholar in Residence at many synagogues as well as Maggid Shiur at Yeshiva University to semicha and undergraduate students.
In addition to publishing many scholarly articles on Torah topics, Rabbi Gottlieb was co-editor of the Torah journal Kol Tzvi, a publication of the Wexner Kollel Elyon, as well as a memorial volume of the Journal entitled Kesones Yosef.
In 2003 Rabbi Gottlieb published a sefer entitled Ateres Yaakov which is a compilation of essays on various topics in Jewish law.
Rabbi Gottlieb is married to the former Ilana Bachman of Staten Island. Mrs. Gottlieb is a graduate of Stern College, and a Ph.D. candidate at the YU Azrieli Graduate School of Education in the area of school administration. Rabbi and Mrs. Gottlieb have three children.
