Rabbi Rosenzveig earned his Semicha (i.e. Rabbinic ordination)  at yeshiva University in 1984, having studied for many years under the tutelage of the renowned Torah scholar, Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik.

Rabbi Rosenzveig is also an attorney, a graduate of University of Michigan School of Law, in Ann Arbor, MI.

Rabbi Ely, as he is known, loves to talk about “Anshe Sholom.”  “I have to tell you,” he says, “we have something very special going on at Anshe Sholom.  Our congregation is very warm and heimish.  We are a real family here. Our members invite each other for Shabbat dinner and socialize with each other in all kinds of ways.” Our shul is Orthodox. That means that we cherish our Torah and all of Jewish tradition. At the same time, we bring to bear a modern, enlightened, progressive perspective that is welcoming of Jews from every walk of life. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been, what you know, or whether or not you observe, you can find a home with us. Many have. In fact, our shul has literally doubled in size in the last three years.

At Anshe Sholom, you have a rare opportunity to be a part of what is shaping up to be a uniquely wonderful community.
