Israel:  The Human Landscape
Rebecca Kowalsky (photos and text) and Roni Loeb Richter (text)

One of the miracles of the Land of Israel lies in its rich, multifaceted, landscape. In this tiny strip of land, we can traverse coastal, desert, and mountain terrains and experience different climactic conditions every few kilometers. So, too, is the miracle of the people who populate this Land. We are as rich and varied in our cultures and practices as our land is in climate and terrain...

Growth Pains
Perach Moses

My daughter woke up in pain. Holding onto her ankle, she was twisting and turning, trying to find a comfortable position. Riga, Once the Paris of the North
Julian Voloj

Riga, once known as the Paris of the North, is home of the largest Jewish community in the Baltic States. Like in many other places in Europe, the impact of the Shoah is very present, but thanks to programs organized by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, also here a Jewish renaissance is visible.
