OU Rabbis Bring Appreciation Breakfast to Wilshire Division Police Station, LAPD

March 13, 2013

AN EARLY MORNING TREAT FOR THE LAPD, AS ORTHODOX UNION RABBIS BRING ‘APPRECIATION BREAKFAST’ TO WILSHIRE DIVISION COMMUNITY POLICE STATION

Early Wednesday morning, Rabbi Alan Kalinsky, director of the Los Angeles-based West Coast Region of the Orthodox Union, and Assistant Director Rabbi Adir Posy, went to the Wilshire Division Community Police Station of the LAPD to meet with Captain Eric Davis, participate in the roll call, and provide officers and staff with an LAPD Appreciation Breakfast “in appreciation of their outreach and service to our community.”

The rabbis brought along with them orange juice, donuts, pastries, bagels, salads and coffee, which provided a treat to the 150 uniformed and civilian employees who participated. “The relationship between the Los Angeles Jewish community and the LAPD has deepened considerably over the years,” said Rabbi Kalinsky. “We wanted to show our appreciation by bringing in a tasty breakfast for the day shift and for those completing their night tour of duty.”
