Joshua Kann, a 20-year New York University student from Monsey, NY, finished first among the 180 members of Team Yachad competing in last Sunday’s ING Half-Marathon in Miami. Joshua was a member of Team JLIC@NYU, a delegation from the Seif Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC) program sponsored by the Orthodox Union at NYU and 15 other campuses nationwide and in Canada.

Team Yachad, which was divided into many smaller groups, such as the NYU delegation, raced to raise funds in support of Yachad, the agency of the Orthodox Union for individuals with learning and developmental disabilities.

“Thanks for the weekend,” wrote Joshua to Team Yachad officials. “As you may know it was my first Yachad weekend and experience, and it was amazing. So thank you for organizing it and to whoever else helped make it possible.”
