NJ NCSY to Send Teen Leaders to Hoboken for Flood Assistance

NEW JERSEY NCSY TO SEND TEEN DELEGATION TO HOBOKEN FOR FLOOD CLEANUP ASSISTANCE
New Jersey NCSY will send a delegation of teen leaders to Hoboken in partnership with NECHAMA: Jewish Response to Disaster this Thursday, November 8; Friday, November 9; and Sunday, November 11 to assist with cleanup efforts.
NCSY | Jewish Youth Leadership is the international youth movement of the Orthodox Union.
The teens are students at Teaneck-based Torah Academy of Bergen County, and local public schools. A possible women-only day mission is currently in the works.
Rabbi Ethan Katz, Associate Regional Director of Teaneck-based New Jersey NCSY, has coordinated student leadership disaster relief missions across the United States, including several missions to New Orleans for the on-going post-Katrina cleanup and rebuilding, over the past five years.
He declared, “New Jersey NCSY is no stranger to assisting those in need post-natural disaster. Our teen leaders are not afraid to work hard and get dirty, to assist in whatever needs to be done regardless of race or religious affiliation. Now that the assistance is needed in our own back yard -- only 20 minutes from Teaneck -- our teens are prepared wherever NECHAMA will put them to work, as they are in need of volunteers to field the requests for help.”
