OU Applauds Governor Christie Proposal on Technology Funding

ORTHODOX UNION APPLAUDS GOVERNOR CHRISTIE’S PROPOSAL TO REINSTATE TECHNOLOGY FUNDING FOR NON-PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s new 2013 budget proposal restores technology aid for non-public school students. If passed by the legislature, then the proposed budget would provide about $20 in technology aid per non-public school student -- about half of what originally existed before the Corzine administration eliminated the program in 2009.
Josh Pruzansky, New Jersey Political Director for the Orthodox Union, said: “We thank all of the administration officials – with whom we spoke almost daily for the past few months – for assisting us with this issue. We also thank Senator Joe Kyrillos for his willingness to advocate on behalf of his constituents, for personally involving himself in this matter, and for succeeding in his efforts. We look forward to working with the administration and the legislature to make this proposal a reality and to expand education opportunities for all students in New Jersey.”
