w3r Consulting has an immediate Application Development Consultant opportunity available for a global healthcare manufacturer and distributor. This opportunity is located in San Diego, CA and is a full time direct hire position.

w3r Consulting is a 13 year-old privately held Technology Consulting firm headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. Our clients are primarily within the healthcare and banking industries. We are expanding across the US and have satellite offices in various states from the East to West Coast.

Overview:
• Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to enable business objectives and provide Tier-3 support.
• Recommends methods for improved work processes, detailing the process’s strengths and answering clients’ questions to gain group consensus.
• Draws on best practices and comprehensive technical knowledge to advise clients in own area of expertise.
• Conducts in-depth analysis to identify gaps between current and end state goals; determines the factors that affect outcomes.
• Supports the implementation process, leading and/or aligning the efforts of the COE; forges strong partnerships with appropriate constituencies.
• Assists in systems/applications integrations
• Delegates tasks to appropriate team members; lends expertise to facilitate effective implementation.
• Approaches issues from multiple perspectives and collaborates with clients in generating creative, effective and practical solutions
• Stays abreast of geographic and/or industry trends in one’s area of expertise and applies this knowledge to improve existing client solutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math or related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in systems programming and analysis.
• Industry experience must include exposure to the following areas/technologies:
o SAP SD functional and technical knowledge
o SAP implementation and upgrade (desirable) experience
o Strong systems development life cycle experiences, from requirements definition, analysis, design, development and validation through implementation and KAP.
o Understanding of how SD interacts with other SAP modules
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, problem solving, and results orientation.
