A photo slideshow in honor of Yom Ha’atzmaut
With stripes inspired by the tallit (Jewish prayer shawl) and a Star of David as the common symbol of B’nai Yisrael from Biblical times, the flag of The State of Israel blows in the breeze. First displayed in Rishon-LeZion in 1885, it can be seen here from Hebron to Oranit, Jaffa to Jerusalem, Zichron Yaakov to Massada.
