OU ‘Super Marriages on Super Sunday’ Program in Ft. Lauderdale, 2/6
Let’s see now, the Super Bowl will not be played in South Florida this year, the Dolphins didn’t make the playoffs, and who wants to watch an eight-hour pregame show? So that leaves plenty of time for couples interested in turning their good marriages into great marriages to attend the Orthodox Union’s program, “Super Marriages on Super Sunday – Don’t ‘Fumble’ or’ Pass’ on This Opportunity.” Admission is free.
The program will be held at the Young Israel of Hollywood, 3291Stirling Road, Fort Lauderdale, and will feature three presentations: Breakfast and Keynote with Rabbi Steven Weil, Executive Vice President of the Orthodox Union at 9:45 a.m.; “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change: Conflict Resolution,” with Aliza Schulman, L.C.S.W. at 10:45; and “The Successful Disagreement,” with Dr. Raphael Wald, Ph.D. from 11:40-12:30.
Rabbi Steven Weil is Executive Vice President of the Orthodox Union. Rabbi Weil began his career as a teacher before embarking upon a position in the rabbinate; first at the Young Israel of Oak Park, Michigan and then at Beth Jacob Congregation in Beverly Hills, both OU congregations. In each position, Rabbi Weil significantly expanded the synagogue’s membership and programming, solidified its finances, and was involved in serving the needs of the greater community as well. He has served internationally as scholar-in-residence on land and on sea, and is a passionate advocate for Israel and for Jewish education.
