OU Israel Center to Hold Its Third Annual Dinner May 25
This year’s dinner will focus on the Israel Center’s pioneering support work on behalf of the young evacuees from Gush Katif and its Jewish consciousness-raising projects for secular IDF soldiers.
According to Rabbi Dovid Cohen, Director General of the OU in Israel, the Dinner will create a Chazaka for celebrating Yom Yerushalayim and the remarkable educational achievements of the Israel Center. "The Dinner is one of the most successful events held in Israel, with more than 500 people expected to attend in support of the OU Israel Center's youth and adult programs across the length and breadth of the country," he said.
Israel Center President Yitzchak Fund declared, "We are excited about having four such extremely worthy honorees. The example they set gives us the strength not only to continue our work but also to increase our efforts to reach out to the wider kehillah in Israel."
OU representation at the Dinner will include Executive Vice President Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb; Rabbi Moshe Krupka, National Executive Director; Rabbi Avi Berman, Director General Designate of OU in Israel; and Andrew Goldsmith, Director of Development.
