Orthodox Jewish Community Meets with Cleveland Representative Marcia Fudge
Congresswoman Fudge took time from her schedule to hear from these community members their concerns regarding key issues, including the U.S.-Israel relationship under the new administration and fair and equal access to Title I and IDEA funding for Orthodox Jewish day school students. Additionally, the Congresswoman identified her support for the Jerusalem Embassy Act, which calls for the United States to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. We at the Orthodox Union are pleased to receive her support regarding Jerusalem as it is a key element of the OU’s foreign policy efforts.
This meeting is part of a nationwide effort by the Orthodox Union’s Institute for Public Affairs to facilitate discussion between our synagogue leadership and their elected officials.
