Atlantic Seaboard NCSY Hosts 1800+ at Baltimore Jewish Music Festival
This year’s concert paid tribute to the mentors of the Senator Ben Cardin Jewish Scholars Program. Pictured in the center at the VIP reception are Regional Director Rabbi Jonah Lerner and Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), together with some of the mentors of the program.
Atlantic Seaboard NCSY, based in Baltimore, welcomed more than 1,800 community members to its 37th Annual Isaac H. Taylor Jewish Music Festival featuring The Yeshiva Boys Choir and The Chevra. The concert directly benefitted Atlantic Seaboard NCSY, enabling it to continue inspiring thousands of Jewish teens across the region by providing scholarships and additional programming.

The concert was held at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore. Prior to the concert, sponsors enjoyed a VIP reception. As the clock neared 7:00 p.m., everyone took their seats, anxiously waiting what became Atlantic Seaboard’s largest, most successful event to-date.
Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland attended the concert to honor all the local community mentors who participate in NCSY’s Senator Ben Cardin’s Jewish Scholars Program. The program is an innovative initiative created to promote Jewish teen leadership through text-based study with mentors and leaders from the local Jewish community.
“The Ben Cardin Jewish Scholars Program is being used as a model for the rest of the nation and I want to thank Rabbi Jonah Lerner, Regional Director of Atlantic Seaboard NCSY, for giving me this opportunity as this program is the next wave of American leadership -- leadership coming out of the Orthodox Jewish community thanks to this program," said Senator Cardin.
“There was not a single person in the room who was not smiling and singing with the music. There are no words to fully describe the amount of inspiration I gained from seeing nearly 2,000 people come together to support NCSY,” Rabbi Lerner reflected.
