Your presence and participation is a statement of true solidarity with our people and our land of Israel. We thank you for joining with us and will make every effort to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. There will be an Orthodox Union desk in the hotel lobby for your special needs and conveniences. Please note:

All trips will be taken with appropriate security precautions and with government permission.

Optional tours are dependent upon a minimum number of participants.

Private individual or family tours are available upon request through the visitor's desk at the Orthodox Union Israel Center.

Special Evening programs will be held at the Orthodox Union Seymour J. Abrams Israel Center, a short distance from The Jerusalem Sheraton Plaza Hotel -TBA *
SUNDAY, JAN. 21, 2001
Depart JFK Airport, NY - El Al flight #008 at 11:50pm
(check-in at least 2 hours before scheduled flight departure)
MONDAY, JAN. 22, 2001

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv - 5:00pm

TUESDAY, JAN. 23, 2001

Departure for the Old City

Meet with Rabbi David Marcus, director of development of Ir David, Old City, Jerusalem

Visit to Gush Etzion. Meet with representatives of the Gush Area council for a briefing on the latest developments in the area.

Optional visit to Chevron if permissible

Return to Jerusalem and visit Kever Rochel
-
End the day with a visit to the neighborhood of Gilo. Meet with English speaking residents who reside on the "Firing Line"

- Visit Amatzia underground, Radar Hill, Kever Dan Ben Yaacov, and Tel Azekah

THURSDAY, JAN. 25, 2001

Optional Tours:
1) Shilo and Beit El - $54.00 donation to Yeshivat Beit El
- Travel via Pisgat Zev and the Ramallah Bypass Road which takes us along major Biblical sites such as Givat Shaul, Michmash, the "Ei," (Battle of
Yehoshua)
- Pass the modern settlements of Kochav Yaakov, Tel Tzion and Ofra
- Climb Tel Shilo and experience the actual site of "Mishkan Shilo" with sound and light show.
- Continue to Beit El. Visit the Tefillin Factory, Yeshiva and Ulpana
- Meet American Olim who settled Beit El

- Western Wall Tunnel located at the entrance to the Kotel. Visit with Jewish families in the Moslem Quarter.

Individuals and families extending their trip will be able to sign up for optional tours at the Orthodox Union Israel Center Tourist desk.
* We are reaching out to government officials and community leaders to address us at the Orthodox Union Seymour J. Abrams Israel Center. Due to the ever changing political and security situation in Israel, confirmations from cabinet members, political officials, members of the Knesset and security personnel are delayed.
