ENHANCING FAMILY COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Good communication is essential to healthy relationships.

Sensitive issues such as phone calls, homework, chores, friends, dating, and curfew can erupt into full-blown battles.

Communication techniques that facilitate understanding and enhance dialogue between parents and teens will be outlined.

Parents and teens can learn how to talk and listen to each other to virtually eliminate all cataclysmic interchanges.

MAXIMIZING YOUR CHILD’S POTENTIAL
How parents and schools can work together implementing activities and programs that are creative, exciting, and motivational, while maximizing and addressing each child’s unique qualities and potential.

RESPONDING TO ANGER IN CHILDREN
Anger is a normal expression of childhood. How we as parents help our children express their feelings constructively is critical.

This workshop will help parents understand the dynamics of anger in children and provide concrete strategies and suggestions.

SETTING LIMITS FOR OUR CHILDREN
In this age of boundless opportunities and information, the issues of how and when to draw the line becomes all the more important. The topic of setting limits will be discussed from the vantage point of the child’s needs and development within the context of the yeshiva and Orthodox Community.

OVERCOMING SIBLING RIVALRY
New insights and strategies for parents and siblings to successfully interact with each other will be presented.

OPPOSITIONAL BEHAVIOR
What causes a child to be oppositional/difficult at times? What preventative measures and approaches can be taken that will be most helpful?

ADDRESSING CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Topics range from identification, intervention strategies, school placement, and the challenges found within the context of the family.
