ENHANCING FAMILY
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Good communication is essential to healthy
relationships.
Sensitive issues such as phone
calls, homework, chores, friends, dating,
and curfew can erupt into full-blown
battles.
Communication techniques
that facilitate understanding and enhance
dialogue between parents and teens will
be outlined.
Parents and teens can
learn how to talk and listen to each other to
virtually eliminate all cataclysmic
interchanges.
MAXIMIZING YOUR CHILD’S
POTENTIAL
How parents and schools can work together
implementing activities and
programs that are creative, exciting, and
motivational, while maximizing and
addressing each child’s unique qualities
and potential.
RESPONDING TO ANGER IN
CHILDREN
Anger is a normal expression of childhood. How
we as parents help our
children express their feelings constructively
is critical.
This workshop will help
parents understand the dynamics of anger in
children and provide concrete strategies
and suggestions.
SETTING LIMITS FOR OUR
CHILDREN
In this age of boundless opportunities and
information, the issues of how
and when to draw the line becomes all the
more important. The topic of setting
limits will be discussed from the vantage point
of the child’s needs
and development within the context of the
yeshiva and Orthodox
Community.
OVERCOMING SIBLING
RIVALRY
New insights and strategies for parents and
siblings to successfully interact
with each other will be presented.
OPPOSITIONAL BEHAVIOR
What causes a child to be oppositional/difficult
at times? What preventative
measures and approaches can be taken
that will be most helpful?
ADDRESSING CHILDREN
WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
