Wynnewood, PA – http://www.bethhamedrosh.org
Congregation Beth Hamedrosh is situated in historic Philadelphia’s suburb in the Wynnewood neighborhood of Lower Merion Township. We are an established vibrant community with a new building located in a beautiful tree-lined neighborhood. Not far from the synagogue are mikvaos, kosher dining, kosher food stores including two national grocery chains with extensive kosher sections and fish and deli counters, and Jewish book and wine stores. Within our extensive eruv are homes and rentals ranging from moderately priced and up. An elementary school, a yeshiva high school, two boys’ yeshivos, a girls’ high school, and other educational facilities are nearby.
The synagogue not only offers a full complement of learning for men and women but prides itself on its focus on service to the community. CBH members are involved with local food pantries and relief efforts, organizations that service the Jewish poor and elderly populations, local civic organizations active in maintaining the high quality of life in the neighborhood, visits to the home-bound and participation in city-wide mitzvah mania days. Along with these programs and its daily and weekly shiurim, the synagogue conducts holiday, community, and youth programming throughout the year. Synagogue members are available for networking for job opportunities in the Philadelphia region and we have established relationships with real estate agents for assistance in finding a place to live. We offer incentives for qualifying families who agree to move to Wynnewood and play an active role in our continued growth.
