Speaking with Power

Hi there! I hope that you are all well,

Sometimes you need to make a statement to the congregation that is said with power and influence. Dr. Frank Luntz, political consultant and pollster, suggests the following 10 words that help convey power:
1) Simplicity, 2) Brevity – short sentences, 3) Credibility – people have to buy it in order to be moved by it, 4) Consistency – repeat what you are saying, 5) Novelty – Get your message across in a new way, 6) Sound and Texture, 7) Speak aspirationally – it needs to respect what people want to hear, 8) Visualize – paint a vivid picture, 9) Ask a question, 10) Provide context and explain relevance.

See you around,
