Hi there! I hope that you are all well.
Rabbi’s and synagogue leaders are always picking up new great tidbits and information that can be used for future sermons, programs, initiatives. The problem is that when an idea hits us – we’re not sure where to store it. Where do we put our newly found information/epiphany? Creating a maser index is the key. It seems that the best index that you can create is one that is topical. For ex. one of the categories in the topical index might be “dreaming big”. Any time you encounter a source or insight on that concept, put the idea under that category in your index. I would use a word document to create this database. The Ctrl + F feature allows sifting through sources quite easy.
Hope that helps. Please do share any other database / indexing ideas that you may have.
See you around,
